Getting Bukit Lawang
Getting to Bukit Lawang
From Kuala Namu International Airport, Medan, Berastagi or Lake Toba, we help you choose the easiest route to the gateway of the Gunung Leuser rainforest.
The rainforest feels remote. Reaching it does not have to be difficult.
Most international travellers arrive through Kuala Namu International Airport near Medan. From there, you can travel by private car, shared tourist bus or local public transport.
Your best choice depends on your arrival time, budget, luggage and how much comfort you prefer. We can also arrange transfers between Bukit Lawang, Berastagi and Lake Toba as part of a wider North Sumatra journey.
