A journey that values forests, wildlife and local people

Responsible wildlife travel means maintaining distance, never feeding orangutans, following guide instructions and carrying all rubbish out of the forest. Local guides, drivers, porters and accommodation partners help keep more tourism value within the communities you visit.

The best Sumatra journey does more than show beautiful places—it helps protect what makes them special.
Helpful before booking

Frequently asked questions

Is this tour suitable for first-time jungle trekkers?
It can be suitable for reasonably fit travellers who are comfortable walking for several hours on uneven, steep and potentially slippery trails. Share your fitness level and health concerns before booking.
How difficult is the Mount Sibayak hike?
The early start, uneven volcanic terrain and weather should be taken seriously. Your guide will adapt the pace to the group where possible.
What is the jungle camp like?
The camp is rustic and nature-based rather than hotel-style. The local team prepares the camping area, equipment and meals.
Are orangutan sightings guaranteed?
No. Orangutans are wild animals moving freely in their natural habitat. Your guide gives you the best responsible opportunity for wildlife observation.
Can children join this package?
Suitability depends on age, walking ability and comfort with jungle camping and an early volcano start. Include every child’s age in your enquiry.
How do we reserve the tour?
Send your preferred date, group size, pick-up information and any medical, dietary or room requirements by WhatsApp or email.
