About the Trek

Experience the jungle beyond a day visit

The 2 Days / 1 Night Orangutan Trek gives you more time to explore Gunung Leuser National Park at a natural pace. Your local guide will help you look for orangutans and other wildlife while explaining the rainforest ecosystem, plants, animal behaviour, and conservation.

In the afternoon, the trekking team prepares a simple camp beside the river. You can relax, swim when conditions are safe, enjoy dinner, and fall asleep surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

All wildlife lives freely, so sightings can never be guaranteed. Responsible observation and animal welfare always come first.
