Arrival and relaxation
Private transfer from Medan to Bukit Lawang
Meet your driver at your Medan hotel or Kualanamu Airport and travel approximately three to four hours to Bukit Lawang. Check in at Jungle Inn or Green Travelodge and enjoy a calm evening before trekking.

Overnight orangutan trek
Enter Gunung Leuser National Park and sleep in the rainforest
Begin the two-day trek with a certified English-speaking guide and support team. Search for orangutans and other wildlife, enjoy meals and drinking water during the trek and spend the night at a supported jungle campsite.

Forest morning and river return
Continue trekking and raft back to Bukit Lawang
Wake beside the rainforest, continue exploring with your guide and return down the Bohorok River by traditional tube raft with a rafting skipper. Check in again at Jungle Inn or Green Travelodge.

Bukit Lawang → Lake Toba
A scenic highland journey with memorable stops
Travel approximately nine hours toward Lake Toba. Stop at Berastagi’s fruit market, a traditional Batak Karo village and Sipiso-Piso waterfall. The day includes the driver, fuel, listed entrance fees, a local lunch, fruit and drinks, and boat tickets from Parapat to Samosir Island.

Batak history, dance, swimming and free time
Enjoy a more relaxed day around Lake Toba. Swim, explore Samosir, join a guided introduction to Batak traditions, attend a cultural performance at Simanindo and visit the historic Batak king’s residence at Ambarita. Additional island tours or motorbike rental can be arranged separately.

Return to Medan
Ferry to Parapat and private departure transfer
Leave Samosir and travel from Parapat to your Medan hotel or Kualanamu Airport in approximately five hours. The listed departure begins at 13:30, so flights should not be scheduled before 20:00.

walking for several hours on uneven, steep and potentially slippery trails.

What is the jungle-camp night like?
The camp is rustic and designed for an authentic rainforest experience.
The support team prepares the camping area and meals, but humidity, insects
and natural forest sounds remain part of the night.
Are orangutan sightings guaranteed?
No. Orangutans move freely in their natural habitat. Your local guide will
provide the best responsible opportunity to observe wildlife without
disturbing the animals.
Is day four a long travel day?
Yes. The transfer from Bukit Lawang toward Lake Toba is approximately nine
hours, but the journey is broken up with stops at Berastagi fruit market,
a Batak Karo village, Sipiso-Piso waterfall and a local lunch.
Can children join the package?
Suitability depends on the child’s age, walking ability and comfort with
jungle camping and longer travel days. Include all children’s ages in your enquiry.
Can we add more time at Lake Toba?
Additional nights or optional Samosir activities may be discussed before
