7:00 am:

• Departure from your hotel or specified point in Medan.
• Drive to Bukit Lawang.

9:00 am:

• Arrival in Bukit Lawang.
• Time for breakfast and a brief rest at our guesthouse/restaurant.

9:30 am:

• Begin the trek into the jungle of Gunung Leuser National Park.
• Expect to see various wildlife such as wild orangutans, Thomas’ leaf monkeys, white-handed gibbons, black gibbons, long-tailed macaques, pig-tailed macaques, hornbills, peacocks, and monitor lizards.
• Our guide will educate you on the local flora and fauna, including traditional medicinal plants.

12:30 pm:

• Break time in the jungle.
• Enjoy seasonal fruits like pineapple, passion fruit, bananas, and rambutan.
• Lunch will typically consist of fried rice brought from the village.

13:00 pm:

• Continue trekking and spotting wildlife.

15:00 pm:

• Board a jungle raft for a one-hour journey down the Bohorok River back to Bukit Lawang (option to walk back instead).

16:00 pm:

• End of the trek.
• Relax and shower at our place before returning to Medan.

17:00 pm:

• Drive back to Medan, with drop-off at your hotel or the airport (for flights later than 8 pm).
